Spectacular. You are an angel. I was just struggling with the different perceptions that Matlab has of the same data expressed as different type of entities (vectors, matrices, tables, arrays). To the user they look just the same. This video helped me clarify some of my doubts. Thank you. The next step for me, in order to be able to distinguish them, will be to learn how to "freeze" the app Workspace. It appears only during the execution of the algorithm (I mean the code of the app designer) and I was able to discover it just because in one of my trials I set some breakpoints along the code. But when the execution is over, the workspace just disappears. Do you know if there is a way to save it? It could be very useful to understand the types and values of the variables that we define in the code.

Hi Benito. Thank you for this playlist, It is helping me a lot. I have one question on this tutorial: is the fact that I am associating the same callback to components others than the original one going to be traced somewhere in the code? If not, it seems to me than matlab did not consider the risk of passing a work from a coder to another without having all the part of the algorithm traced in the code.

You could display discrete knob just by making equal app.EditField_2.Value to value. There is no need to use the comparison of strings and if statement. The VALUE itself is a string which outputs the position if discrete knob

Hi Benito, can you please explain me how to display the Name of Excel file in MATLAB app designer... For eg : I created one edit field text area , one button and table. Now I'm clicking the button my Excel table is read in the ui table and also I want to display the name of the Excel into the edit field text area.

Is it possible to change the code in Matlab App Designer when the code is in the grey background? Because I thought it is not possible because these are classes and clusters which are automatically generated by Matlab. But I need the change something in my class " methods (access = private)". Thank you for your help!

Hi Benito, videos are a great help, however, within the app designer I do not have the package app tool under designer tab, I believe it's because I'm on R2023b, there is the exact button available back in the normal Matlab page but doesn't seem to compile the app I've made in the designer, any help would be greatly appreciated 🫡

Thanks for the videos, I think there was a tiny mistake in using the plot function.. I think the right way of using it is this: ........ function PlotButtonPushed(app, event) x = 0:0.01:2*pi; y = sin(x); plot(app.UIAxes,x,y) end

If you get error: Error using tabular/parenDelete Unrecognized table row name '3'. It's because you have put in an editfield text box, and not an editfield numeric box. The '3' means when you type in 3 into the editfield next to delete, matlab is reading it as a letter 3 (text) and not the number 3 (numeric), so it doesn't know what row to delete since you gave it text instead of a number.
